Fireman Derek's is Hiring an Assistant Baker Near Miami, FL
- Guaranteed hours, paid weekly, morning shift, evenings off.
- 6:30 am-3:00 pm.
- 8 am-4:30 pm.
- Professional and reliable.
- Carries the basic knowledge on how to successfully operate kitchen equipment like ovens, kitchen mixers, gas stoves, and other basic commercial kitchen equipment.
- Can successfully manage their workstation and given tasks after thorough training.
- Ability to follow instructions and bake recipes accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to stay focused and work efficiently to complete daily baking pars.
- Scratch baking using company recipes.
- Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients for head bakers.
- Keeping kitchen areas clean, organized, and stocked.
- Ensure food surfaces and baking equipment meet all health and safety standards.
- Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machines, and other baking equipment.
- Monitor items during baking.
- Completing daily baking lists and multi-tasking to handle priority needs.
- Maintaining inventory and stock levels.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
- Must speak English, Spanish helps as well.
- Work well with others, strong teamwork ethic.
- Punctual, reliable, and respectful.
- Immediate hire, 40 hours per week. Starting pay based on experience and performance within the first 90 days.
- $14 an hour.
